Icarus was the son of Daedalus the inventor. They were held captive on Crete by King Minos. In order to escape Daedalus invented wings made with wax. Daedalus told his son do not fly too high because the wax will melt. Unfortunately, Icarus flew too high ,the wax melted and he dropped into the sea and died.
