Bronze Jockey and horse on marble base

This statue was found in the Sea of Artemision.
The jockey and horse are paired together in the Athens Archeological Museum.
There is a wonderful sense of movement as the horses front legs are in the air and the jockeys clothes are moving in the wind.
Late classical period mid 2nd century B.C.
